The New & Improved Carbonless sheet from Glatfelter & EPC- Excel One is here!
So i'm sure most of you are familiar with EPC's offset and laser compatible carbonless stock. If you're running it offset you've been purchasing our Excel Heavyweight by Glatfelter, if running it through laser or digital equipment you've probably purchased our Xcelerator Digital Carbonless from Glatfelter. Well to make things easier on everyone Glatfelter decided to get rid of the two separate sheets and combine them into ONE single carbonless phenomenon.
It took over 2 years to get the chemistry right and to make every test run a success but they finally did it and now Excel One is the only carbonless worth mentioning. Whether your job is offset or digital Excel One will work for you!
For those of you who might be weary of the new sheet, I will copy Glatfelter's frequently asked questions section from their new ExcelOne Promotional packet. If you still have questions after that then feel free to give us a call @ 585-482-5340 we're always here to help and guide you down the right paper path!
Question 1:
"How is ExcelOne different than the current Excel product?
Answer 1:
Glatfelter has been working on the development of ExcelOne for over 2 years at Glatfelter's new product development center. ExcelOne is a hybrid engineering of Excel and Xcelerator PLUS. It maintains the best performance characteristics of both products, while offering our customers a product that is greener for the enviornment, cleaner on presses and digital equipment and keeps inventory lean.
*** Note ***
The ExcelOne product will be 92 bright, with a new bluer-whiter shade; contains CleanPress CF technology, a greener CF sheet that runs more cleanly than competitive sheets; adjusted moisture standards to perform jam-free in digital equipment without sacrificing offset runnability; and is guaranteed to perform on offset printing equipment, monochrome or color digital equipment and inkjet equipment.
Question 2:
"What do I do with my existing Excel Inventory?"
Answer 2:
To ensure a seamless transition to the new ExcelOne product, Glatfelter has been making rolling manufacturing changes to the product prior to launch; branding changes were the final component of the product modifications. As a result, Excel inventories have been progressively upgraded to ExcelOne, so Glatfelter is able to extend their digital product guarantee to Excel products that were purchased on or after January 1, 2010. This will ease the transition of inventories to the new ExcelOne product.
Glatfelter will not be accepting Excel inventory back in order to maintain the integrity of the supply chain for new product.
